Mr. Barry has been employeed by Trinity Industries for over 10 years and is currently a Product Development Manager in Strategic Product Development. He currently holds three U.S. patents on railcars and has several others under review. Prior to his work in the railcar industry, Mr. Barry worked for 10 years in the aerospace industry for Vought Aircraft and Rockwell Aerospace. He has been an ASQ certified quality engineer for over 18 years.

Mr. Barry’s topic will be NDE's Role In new railcar development. The presentation will illustrate the benefits yielded from design validation through destructive tests and nondestructive tests on steel and composite materials to develop a new railcar that meets a specification that has never been fully met by any other railcar builder in the world.
